Filmzion was founded in 2014 on a simple conviction: good documentary begins with research and ends with respect — for the character, the viewer and the truth.
Our story
We started as three people with one camera and a short film shot over a weekend. Today we are a team of fourteen between Dubai and Istanbul, with a network of shooters and fixers across four continents.
We have produced for global broadcasters, platforms and international organisations, but what we are actually proud of is that most projects come to us on a former partner's recommendation. That is the best review we can get.

The rules we work by
Accuracy before spectacle
Every fact in our films is double-verified. Visual beauty never compensates for an error in the truth.
Characters are not material
We work with informed consent and source protection, and give our contributors the right to understand how their story will be told.
Time is part of the budget
We do not shoot a one-year film in two weeks. We say so clearly in the first meeting.
Arabic and global at once
We write and shoot in Arabic, English and French, and know how a film reaches both regional and international audiences.
